Bikers are not easy to shoot. While walking down Broome Street, this guy flew passed me so I didn't think I would get the shot. Fortunately, for a split second he stopped at the traffic light and that's all I needed to capture him. Perfect timing. Bikers move so quickly so it feels like a huge accomplishment when I caught them (forgive me I'm a geek).
What do you think about the camo on camo? Is too much or does it work? If you would style this differently, I'm curious to know how and why?

Get the Look

I was just searching for this information for some time.
ReplyDeleteAfter six hours of
continuous Googleing, at last I got it in your site. I wonder what is the lack of
Google strategy that do not rank this kind of informative web sites in top of the list.
Generally the top websites are full of garbage.

I actually kind of like the almost irreverence that camo has taken on now. I think pairing a camo chino with a navy pea-coat is a great idea. I don't like the camo on camo though.
ReplyDeleteAs far as this styling goes, the one thing I would change is replace the sneakers with, not necessarily a full boot, but like a boot or chukka with the traction and soles that I'm seeing a lot of lately. I would vote brown, but black could work too. Finish off the not-really-para-military look.
I see what your saying about the brown or black boot and since he's on a bike maybe a rubber sole would be good. Thanks for sharing.
DeleteBike's not easy to shoot, you should visit the Netherlands :P
ReplyDeleteReally? Why ?
ReplyDeleteCos' it's the nation of bikers ;), really biking is cultural there !

Totally working!
ReplyDeleteHorrible, camo on camo is way too much.
ReplyDeleteI like this. The fact that the two camo patterns are different, and their being separated by a substantial, solid block of color, make me appreciate this wardrobe. Despite the heaviness of a camo pattern, I don't find it overwhelming here. I'm not sure if a boot, however complimentary to this outfit, would make much practical sense to a biker. It would seem more likely that the flexibility and comfort of a sneaker would serve him better, as well as perhaps be less likely to be scuffed and beaten. I wouldn't change a thing: he looks to be dressed comfortably, practically and impressively.
ReplyDeleteVery stylish and excellent angle.
ReplyDeleteThanks Qu
DeleteI agree with Adam's point about the two prints being different and the spatial separation between the two. I don't see a clash between the smaller, louder, and more colorful print of the backpack and the larger, softer, and simpler print of the pants. The one thing I would change in this look is the jacket. A black, white, or maybe a dark red or burgundy would look much nicer, as far as I can imagine.
ReplyDeleteGreat and amazing

I need more army wear love the pants
ReplyDeleteI'm totally down for camo on camo and even camo on camo on camo, as long as the camo prints are completely different in some way. In this pic, it's broken up nicely with the peacoat
ReplyDeleteI like the camo look and love the pants. I don´t really dig the camo on camp...I think a rugged canvas backpack would compliment the outfit more, and the rugged style of a canvas backpack would go well with the camo pants. Unfortunately for me, the sneakers kind of destroy the look. I wouldn´t like those sneakers even with any other outfit. For me a simple sneaker, like chucks for instance, would have been better!
ReplyDeleteThat is a Mercer hat by Stetson! Looks great.
